Questions

How long is a lesson?

25 minutes of live 1:1 time with the teacher, plus optional warm-up and follow-up games in the student world.

Is the whole lesson in English?

Yes. Teachers use pictures, gestures, songs and movement so even complete beginners follow along from the first lesson.

Is the trial really free?

Yes. No card is needed. Your child meets a teacher, plays through a lesson, and you get a level assessment afterwards.

What device do we need?

A laptop or desktop with a webcam, microphone and stable internet. Tablets work for older kids.

What’s the difference between Standard and Premium teachers?

Both follow the same curriculum and pass the same checks. Premium teachers are native English speakers and cost more per lesson.

How do payments work?

You pay monthly by Direct Debit. Choose a rolling monthly plan or commit for 3, 6 or 12 months for a lower price per lesson.

Can I reschedule or cancel a lesson?

Yes, in your parent account, free of charge up to 8 hours before the lesson starts. Later cancellations use up the lesson.

Can I pause or cancel the subscription?

You can pause within the allowance for your term. Rolling monthly plans cancel any time. Every new plan has a 14-day money-back guarantee.

Do you have a sibling discount?

Yes: 5% off for two children and 10% off for three or more on plans with 2 or more lessons a week per child.

How do I see progress?

After every lesson you get the teacher’s written feedback and, with consent, the recording. Your child gets a certificate at the end of each level.

How are teachers vetted?

Every teacher holds a teaching qualification, passes a criminal record check and completes safeguarding training before they can be booked.

How do referrals work?

Share your code. Your friend gets 2 free lessons on their first plan, and you get £20 credit when their first payment is confirmed.
